Description: Located almost 30 kilometres from Hyderabad, Chilkur is a small picturesque village which is also a popular pilgrimage. It is in this sacred village where the famous Chilkur Balaji temple is built. On the banks of Osman Sagar Lake, close to the Vikarabad road, this temple attracts hordes of devotees from all over the country.
                                          Chilkur Balaji temple has a pleasing architecture too, boasting of being one of the oldest temples in Telangana. It is said that this temple was built more than half a millennium ago. Built almost five hundred years ago, the temple is being considered as an alternative of Tirumala temple. The main deity of the temple is Lord Balaji Venkateswara along with Sridevi and Bhoodevi accompanying him.
                                          There is a legend behind the construction of this temple. According to the tales, the temple was built by a devotee who after having health issues couldn't visit the Tirupati temple which he used to do earlier. Having moved by his devotion, Lord Venkateshwara appeared to him and instructed him to find the idol of the lord, together with Sridevi and Bhoodevi and build a temple. Since then, the devotees are known to seek e the blessings of the Lord Shri Balaji Venkateshwara. Many people, who cannot go to Tirupati temple, often come here.

Description: One of the famous Hyderabad tourist places, Lumbini Park Hyderabad was developed by the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority in the year of 1994. Perfect place for relaxation and amusement, Lumbini Park has been named after birthplace of Siddhartha who later came to be known as Lord Buddha. The park is part of the Buddha Purnima project of Hyderabad Urban Development Authority. After the later Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, this park was renamed at the T. Anjaiah Lumbini Park in the year of 2006. However, popularly it is still known by the name of Lumbini Park.

Qutb Shahi tombs

Description:  The Qutb Shahi tombs are located in the Ibrahim Bagh (garden precinct), close to the famous Golkonda Fort in Hyderabad, India. They contain the tombs and mosques built by the various kings of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. The galleries of the smaller tombs are of a single storey while the larger ones are two storied. In the centre of each tomb is a sarcophagus which overlies the actual burial vault in a crypt below. The domes were originally overlaid with blue and green tiles, of which only a few pieces now remain

  • Description:  is a palace of the Nizams of Hyderabad state. It was the seat of the Asaf Jahi dynasty and was the official residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad while they ruled their state. The palace remains the property of Barkat Ali Khan Mukarram Jah, heir of the Nizams.
In Urdu, Hindi Char means four, and even inPersian, Chahar means four and inUrdu and Hindi Mahal means palaces, hence the name Chowmahalla/four palaces.
The palace is located in the old city in Hyderabad near the Charminar

Description: Not too far from the Golconda Fort is Hyderabad’s biggest possible tree of Baobab. The centuries old Hatiyaan tree stands right opposite the Mulla Khiyali Mosque in the less frequented vicinity of Naya Quila.
Belonging to the African Baobab family, the tree gets its name from its enormous girth and also the branches that look like elephant trunks. The hollow of this mesmerizing tree can easily accommodate over 20 people. An interesting venue to listen to several legends from locals, Haatiyon ka jhad as it’s popularly known is believed to have been the hideout for Ali Baba’s 40 thieves.
